36 Weeks

One month!!! And one week until full term. <start panic mode>.
The baby’s almost 6 lbs and 18.5 inches, which is just nuts.

Also, the hair that covered the his entire body to protect his skin in the womb will pretty much be all gone by the end of this week! Which is good because it’s not really my greatest desire to birth a little wolverine.

I’m just getting more and more excited to meet him 🙂 It’s gonna be so fun!!!

Yes, my belly is quite large. Let’s not think about the fact that it will be growing for another four weeks… Now here’s a picture with Samson in the way and where you can see my belly button sticking out:

In addition to finishing the nursery (I’ll take some pictures and put them on here soon), packing the labor bag, and sorting the baby clothes (nesting, perhaps? :)), I also used some of the cards / bags from the baby showers to make a wreath for the door. It’s just hanging on the nursery door for now, but it’ll go on our main door once he comes. What better use for loving notes from friends and family members than a welcome home wreath for the little guy?!

    Emily –

I just love your posts and I know once the baby arrives, you won’t have the time to post much — but I’m enjoying each and every one of these. What a delight to read your posts — that little guy is so lucky — he is going to be born into two loving parents! What a joy. I like your description of the hair covering his body — did not know that happened. Now you can call him “Wooly Waller” — just kidding!

Cannot wait to meet him either –he is going to be such a blessing.

Take care and all the best.

    Judy
