Christmas Traditions

Since we got married, I always wondered what Christmas traditions we will want to have. What do other people do? What is considered a “tradition”? What do I want Caleb, and any other future children, to remember about the Holiday Season?

Last year, Mike and I tried to incorporate some of our ideas into an Advent Calendar. We had one thing to do each day. Some were simple, like having hot cocoa or watching a Christmas movie. But, in the end, it turns out that we were a little over zealous and it was just way too much since everything was on a specific day.

So… this year, we decided on a new approach! Less “traditions” and more flexibility! I think that we are going to frame this printable so that we can check things off with a dry erase marker and reuse it every year. I anticipate that the kiddos will like having the tradition of doing these few things every year, and they are all family-oriented and focus on serving others and spending time together. Those are the kind of traditions we want to build! Feel free to print for yourself 🙂
